VHS video recorders – buy used instead of new
The outcry among VHS enthusiasts was loud when, in 2015, it was announced that no new VHS video recorders would be produced worldwide anymore. The last manufacturer was Funai, which had produced over 100 million VHS drives in total. For various reasons, including supply issues for the required components, production was eventually discontinued.
Now, video fans have almost no choice but to resort to used VHS recorders when making new purchases. There are several things to consider. From experience, we can say that not all used devices are the same. Depending on their usage condition and how they were stored, there can be significant differences in quality — even if the devices seem to function perfectly at first glance. This is exactly where we come in: we want to eliminate this great unknown for our customers so that valuable collector's items can also be played without worry.
Selection of Video and VHS DVD Combo Devices for Sale
In the first step, every device is thoroughly inspected in our specialist workshop. Heavily used VHS parts or very poorly stored devices are generally sorted out right away.
Each drive is professionally serviced and checked for common weak points. This allows us to fix errors (e.g. caused by cracks in the plastic) before they even occur. The goal of our work is always to ensure that the functionality of the used device matches that of a new video recorder .
During testing, we make sure to test multiple identical devices at the same time. Comparing the devices with each other allows us to detect even minor deviations from perfect functionality.
Thanks to this refurbishment process, we are able to confidently offer our warranty on the devices. If, contrary to expectations, an error should occur (e.g. due to shipping), we are here to assist you with our expertise.
