12-month functional warranty on your refurbished unit
Your added value beyond your statutory rights
Every unit is inspected and reconditioned in our specialist workshop before sale. On this basis we provide a genuine functional warranty: it also covers defects that only arise after handover, within the warranty period. Expressly included are the drive and wear parts we have inspected or replaced, such as belts, pinch rollers and idlers. Your statutory rights in the event of defects continue to exist free of charge alongside this warranty and are not restricted by it.
General
The warrantor is Positron-e GmbH, Degernpoint H 4, 85368 Moosburg, Germany (hereinafter "Positron-e"). Positron-e provides consumers with a functional warranty for all units purchased from Positron-e, subject to the following conditions. A consumer within the meaning of this warranty is any natural person who purchased the unit directly from Positron-e, is the owner of the unit and did not acquire it for resale or for use in their commercial or self-employed professional activity. This warranty applies in addition to the statutory warranty rights and is subject to applicable law.
Scope
The warranty begins on the day the unit is purchased from Positron-e and runs for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. It covers the functionality of the unit as inspected and reconditioned by us, that is, defects of any kind that occur during the warranty period under proper use.
Expressly covered by the warranty are also the mechanical drive and wear parts inspected or replaced during reconditioning, for example belts, pinch rollers and idlers.
The provision of warranty services neither extends the warranty period nor causes it to start anew.
Territorial scope
The warranty cover applies in Germany and the other member states of the European Union.
Services
In the event of a defect covered by this warranty, Positron-e will, at its own discretion, repair the unit, replace it with an equivalent or higher-value unit, or refund the unit value. Repair and replacement are free of charge for you.
In the case of a refund, the unit value at the time of the warranty claim is decisive; it is based on the current selling price of a comparable unit at Positron-e, but no more than the purchase price you paid. If a refund is chosen and confirmed in text form, Positron-e keeps the unit and refunds the unit value.
In the event of a warranty claim, Positron-e bears the shipping costs: you will receive a free, insured return label from us; for heavy units we will arrange collection on request. The return shipment of the repaired or replaced unit to you is also free of charge.
Not covered by the warranty
The warranty claim does not extend to:
- consumables such as batteries and rechargeable batteries
- fragile parts such as display windows
- soiling and damage caused by the use of faulty or unsuitable media (for example sticky, damaged or mould-infested tapes and cassettes)
- damage caused by operating errors or improper use
- damage caused by external influences or aggressive environmental conditions (for example moisture, overvoltage)
- damage caused by interventions, repairs, modifications or extensions not carried out by Positron-e, or by the use of third-party parts
- damage caused by improper packaging when the unit is sent in
A removed or damaged warranty seal is considered an indication of third-party intervention. In this case, the warranty lapses only for damage resulting from such an intervention.
If the inspection reveals that the reported fault is not covered by the warranty, we will first check whether a statutory claim for defects exists; checking and processing such a claim is always free of charge for you. If no statutory claim exists either, we will not charge a flat fee for the inspection; on request, you will receive a cost estimate for a paid repair.

Many questions can be resolved by phone. If the unit needs to be sent in, we will provide you with the shipping address and a free return label. Please pack the unit securely for transport; on request we will send you packing instructions for your unit. Please include a description of the fault that is as precise as possible.
After the parcel has been received, the unit will be examined by our technicians; you will be kept informed about the status of your warranty case and will receive the repaired or replaced unit back free of charge. Positron-e accepts no liability for additional items sent in that are not part of the original scope of delivery.
Statutory rights
In addition to the rights under this warranty, you are entitled to the statutory rights in the event of defects. Exercising these rights is free of charge for you. These rights are not restricted by the warranty.
Place of performance and applicable law
This warranty is governed by German law, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) of 11 April 1980. If, as a consumer, you have your habitual residence in another country, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that country remain unaffected by this choice of law. The place of performance for the obligations under this warranty is 85368 Moosburg, Germany.
