If you like to judge a recording while it is being made, this silver Technics deck is the right choice: the RS-M263 uses a genuine 3-head system whose separate record and playback gaps enable off-tape monitoring. Using the monitor tape/source switch you compare the running tape directly with the input signal. The tape is driven by a single capstan, and the deck detects the inserted tape type automatically via Auto Tape Select.
