Onkyo TA-2570 – Precision and comfort from the Integra series

Introducing the Onkyo TA-2570: a high-quality cassette deck from Onkyo's renowned Integra series. Built during the heyday of analog technology (approx. 1989-1991), this deck embodies the Integra line's commitment to sound quality, durability, and solid workmanship.

The TA-2570 is a precise instrument designed for the faithful reproduction and recording of analog audio media.

The heart of the machine: the 3-motor drive

The basis for the TA-2570's impressive performance is its smooth-running drive mechanism. This drive was designed to guide the tape with great quietness and precision.

The 3-motor concept: Inside, a proven system with three separate motors is at work. A precise DC servo motor drives the capstan shafts and guarantees stable speed. Two additional DC motors are responsible for the take-up spindles and for the smooth control of the head carriage (assist motor).
Closed Loop Dual Capstan: This system is considered one of the most effective methods for precise tape transport. The tape is guided between two capstan shafts (pressure shafts), which ensures constant, even tape tension across the tape head. This system isolates the tape from interference from the cassette and reduces wow and flutter to an excellent level.

Additional technical features

High-quality 3-head configuration: The deck is equipped with durable audio heads that are known for their robustness and excellent sound characteristics. They enable clear recording and playback. Thanks to the 3-head design, true rear tape monitoring is possible—you can check the result directly during recording.
Automatic calibration (Auto Accubias): To fully exploit the potential of different cassette types (Type I, II, or IV/Metal), the TA-2570 offers Onkyo's convenient "Auto Accubias" system. At the touch of a button, a calibration computer analyzes the inserted tape and automatically calibrates the bias for an optimized, balanced frequency response.
Low-resonance Integra construction: The device's affiliation with the Integra series is also evident in its construction. It rests on a heavy, vibration-damping chassis. The solid construction and sturdy aluminum front panel reduce vibrations and contribute to clean signal processing.
Dolby noise reduction & HX Pro: The proven Dolby B and C systems are available for lower-noise recordings. The Dolby HX Pro system also improves high-frequency control during recording without affecting the dynamics.

Who is this deck suitable for?

The Onkyo TA-2570 is aimed at analog enthusiasts who appreciate a solid drive and the reliable sound quality of the Integra series, but also don't want to miss out on the convenience of automatic calibration. It is an excellent choice for listening to cassette collections in high quality or for making superbly calibrated recordings from other sources.

A compelling example of the sophisticated analog technology found in Onkyo's Integra series.
