LG BH9540TW 3D Blu-ray home cinema receiver with two HDMI inputs

A home cinema needs one central unit that brings picture and sound together. That is exactly what the BH9540TW does: a 3D capable Blu-ray drive and a multi-channel power amplifier in a single housing, connected to the television by one HDMI cable.

What is offered here is the amplifier and player unit only. The lid is marked 9.1, yet the terminal panel carries six speaker connectors for front, centre, front top and subwoofer – the rear channels of this system ran through a wireless rear module, which is not included. Speakers are connected exclusively through the colour-coded LG system plugs, so matching LG speakers or an adapter are required. No remote control is included either: the two keys behind the front flap cover basic operation, which leaves the menu functions only partly accessible.
