Marantz 1070 — classic integrated amplifier with aluminium front panel, walnut cabinet and tape monitoring for two decks

Aluminium front, walnut wood and slide controls instead of rotary knobs: the 1070 belongs to the Marantz Console line and shows its hi-fi era right on the control surface. Bass, midrange and treble are set with detented slide controls that return reliably to their centre position. The transistor output stage delivers 35 watts per channel into 4 and into 8 ohms.

As the hub of an analogue system it covers the classic sources: a turntable with MM cartridge, a tuner, one free line-level source and two tape machines that can be dubbed directly from one to the other. Two separately switchable speaker pairs serve a main room and a second room. If preamplifier and power amplifier are to be used on their own, the factory link between Pre Out and Main In is removed.

The product photos show the actual unit. The brushed aluminium front panel is visually clean, with no visible scratches or dents; all controls and switches are present and the lettering is fully legible. The walnut cabinet shows no noticeable damage. A mains cable is included.
