Onkyo TA-R20 — Stereo cassette deck with auto-reverse, two-motor drive and Dolby B/C

Playing and recording both sides of a tape without flipping the cassette is what the Onkyo TA-R20 is built for. This black stereo cassette deck uses an auto-reverse drive whose reverse-mode selector switches between a single side, one there-and-back pass and continuous endless play. A computer-controlled two-motor drive keeps the tape transport smooth and steady, while automatic tape-type detection recognises normal, chrome and metal tapes and shows them on the display.

Automatic tape-type detection: normal (type I), high/chrome (type II) and metal (type IV) are recognised and shown on the display (NORM / HIGH / METAL).
AMCS music search jumps automatically to the next or previous track start; plus Auto Space for defined gaps and Blank Skip to skip unrecorded passages.
Microphone inputs (left/right) on the front and adjustable recording level (input level) for your own recordings; headphone output for direct monitoring.
Fluorescent peak level meter for left and right channel (-20 to +6 dB) and a tape counter with reset; rear connector for the Onkyo RI system control.
