Sony CDP-M95 — CD player with dual D/A converter and Custom File

A little narrower than the usual hi-fi component, yet with complete control from the front panel: Sony's CDP-M95 is 355 mm wide and therefore fits into a midi system or onto a narrow shelf. Conversion of the 16-bit signal is handled by a dual D/A converter system with four-times oversampling, as printed on the disc tray — two converters processing the left and right channels separately. The cabinet carries a brushed black front panel; the tray sits to the left of the display, with the key field to its right.

As a source the player suits any integrated amplifier or receiver with a line input, and equally an external DAC or an amplifier with a digital input. Anyone who listens to a CD collection every day and prefers to select tracks directly rather than stepping through them is well served here. The CDP-M95 has no recording function; it is a pure playback machine for audio CDs.
