Denon PMA-710AE – Stereo Integrated Amplifier in Black with Source Direct, MM Phono and Pre Out

A brushed black front, a large volume knob in the centre and two separate selectors to its right: on the PMA-710AE, Denon keeps what you listen to strictly apart from what you record. The input selector sets the listening source, while the rec out selector independently decides which signal is sent to the recorder outputs. The front lettering “High Current – Single Push-Pull Circuit” describes the power stage: a single push-pull circuit per channel, designed for generous current delivery.

The amplifier fits a system where a turntable, CD player and tuner come together and two recording devices such as a cassette deck, MiniDisc or CD recorder stay permanently connected. The system can be expanded later via the preamplifier output, and a second pair of speakers, for example in another room, is catered for as well.

Highlights & Features

Source direct: tone controls, loudness and balance are bypassed and the source signal takes a short path to the volume control.
Phono input for MM cartridges with ground terminal (SIGNAL GND) for connecting a turntable directly.
Dedicated rec out selector: the recording source can be chosen independently of the listening source, including dubbing from recorder 1 to recorder 2 and vice versa.
Six sources: phono, CD, tuner and line plus two recorder loops with playback (PB) and record (REC) connections.
Preamplifier output (pre out, RCA) for an external power amplifier or active speakers.
Speaker switching A/B with two separate buttons – individually, together or both off for headphone-only listening; 6.3 mm headphone jack on the front.
Tone controls for bass, treble and balance plus switchable loudness for low-level listening.
Infrared sensor on the front for remote operation; three switched AC outlets (max. 100 W in total) power further components.
