Onkyo BD-SP809 — 3D Blu-ray player in black with THX certification

Blu-ray, DVD and CD in one machine, housed in a full-width chassis with a brushed aluminium front in black: Onkyo positions the BD-SP809 as a disc player for permanent integration into a home cinema system. The front panel stays uncluttered — disc tray, display and the essential transport keys are all it needs, everything else is handled by the remote control and the on-screen menu.

The player shows its strengths in combination with an AV receiver, TV or projector: films appear in full HD, an existing DVD collection benefits from the internal picture processing, and audio CDs play with clean measured values. The unit is also prepared for installations with separate picture and sound routing or centralised control — the corresponding connections are on board. This makes the BD-SP809 a good choice for anyone who wants to keep using their disc collection without giving up contemporary playback quality.
