Philips Fidelio BDP9700 — 3D Blu-ray and SACD player with two HDMI outputs

Movie night and music listening do not have to live on two separate machines: with the BDP9700 from its Fidelio range, Philips built a disc player that combines Blu-ray home cinema and SACD playback behind a brushed aluminium front. The fascia stays deliberately uncluttered — disc tray, display and five transport keys — while the real equipment sits inside and on the rear panel.

Its strength is the dual role in the living room: for home cinema it feeds picture and sound to TV and AV receiver on separate paths, while on a stereo or multi-channel system it works as an analogue source for SACD and CD. It also plays music, photos and videos from your home network. The BDP9700 cannot record — it is a playback-only device.
