Harman Kardon BDS577 – Blu-ray Home Cinema Receiver 5.1 in Black (without speakers)

Five power amplifiers, a slot-loading Blu-ray drive and an FM tuner share a housing only 80 mm high in black. Offered here is this main unit alone – speakers and subwoofer are not part of the package. It suits anyone who already owns a matching satellite set or wants to build a home cinema with their own 6-ohm speakers without setting up a large AV receiver.

In use the unit stays unobtrusive: a rotary knob on the front sets the volume, the pre-programmed replacement remote reaches the on-screen menus, and discs, sources on the HDMI inputs or music via Bluetooth switch without re-plugging. In the evening a pair of headphones on the front socket mutes the speakers while the film carries on.
