Pioneer BDP-150 – slim 3D Blu-ray player with SACD playback and HD audio formats

Just 58 millimetres tall yet built to full hi-fi width, the Pioneer BDP-150 slips flat beneath a TV or into a low shelf. Its drive reads Blu-ray films in full HD and in 3D, DVDs and audio CDs, plus Super Audio CDs, whose stereo or multichannel area can be selected directly.

A single HDMI cable carries picture and HD multichannel sound to the TV or AV receiver. Older TVs and stereo systems are served via composite video, analogue RCA outputs and a coaxial digital output. Films, music and photos can also be played from USB storage on the front and rear, or over LAN from a media server on the home network. That makes it a compact source for a living-room home cinema as well as a disc player for the stereo system – a pure playback unit without recording function.
