Onkyo DX-M50 — CD player with numeric keypad and track grid display

Clean lines, a large red-tinted display and a control panel that works entirely without menus: with the DX-M50 Compact Disc Player, Onkyo relies on direct operation. The drawer on the left takes the audio CD, and to the right of the display sits a complete numeric keypad that lets you select any track straight away. A grid in the display shows the tracks of the loaded disc as an overview, so you can always see how many pieces the CD contains.

The player is designed as a source for a classic stereo system: it connects via RCA to the line input of an amplifier or receiver and plays CDs without detours. If you prefer music in your own order, you can put together a track sequence or leave the choice to chance. Via the RI jacks on the rear, it can also be integrated into an Onkyo system with system control.

Highlights & Features

Direct track selection via the 0 to 9 numeric keypad with an additional +10 key for CDs with many tracks.
Track grid in the display showing the tracks of the loaded CD at a glance.
Programming of your own track sequence with the MEMORY and CLEAR keys to store and delete program steps.
Repeat via REPEAT, playback of track beginnings via INTRO and random playback via SHUFFLE; DISPLAY switches the display mode.
Track skip DOWN/UP as well as fast forward and rewind FF/FR on dedicated keys at the lower right.
Wide transport keys for OPEN/CLOSE, PAUSE, STOP and PLAY in a row below the display.
Two RI Remote Control jacks on the rear for control within an Onkyo system.
